An Exciting Time

As we continue to cruise along through the first quarter of 2016, it’s a great time to both reflect on the past and on the exciting times ahead. This year is one of particular importance, as Right Now Air is marking its 30^th anniversary serving Southern Nevada this April. We’ve learned so much after three decades in this business – that it really is more than just a business – it’s about people, friends and relationships. We have gotten to know our clients, their families and even their animals. Thinking back on the past 30 years, we realize that some of our clients may not be aware of how Right Now Air came to be.

We offer you a glimpse into the history of the people behind the bright yellow vans…

Scott Meier’s Story:

Scott graduated from a trade school in Phoenix, Arizona and drive to Las Vegas with every item he owned stuffed inside his brown van. Headed into the great unknown, Scott was meeting his high school sweetheart, Shari, was also relocating to Las Vegas. The plan was to work hard, gain experience and ultimately start a business. Scott and Shari married in 1982 and by 1986, Scott quit his job and started his own HVAC company. The spare bedroom of their first 936-square foot home served as corporate headquarters for their office, where Shari helped to service customers, answering phones and scheduling service appointments. From the very beginning, the commitment was made to treat people ethically and honestly.

Larry Smith’s Story:

A transplant to Las Vegas, Larry Smith was born in Los Angeles, grew up in the Torrance area and is a self-proclaimed “surfer dude.” Migrating to Las Vegas in 1970, Larry’s plan was to stay for the short term in order to provide food and shelter for his family during a time when jobs in California were scarce. That was 46 years ago.

Larry’s career in the HVAC business began in 1967, where he worked for a company called Gaffers Sattlers. The job ultimately brought him to Henderson, and he continued to work his way up the ladder and hone his technical skills in the operation of air conditioning and furnaces in the Nevada desert. In 1980, Larry started his business to earn additional income and in 1985, went into business for himself full-time. Larry takes pride in his expertise, the city of Las Vegas and in the belief of supporting locally owned and operated businesses in our community.

Celebrating 30 years, Right Now Air has been providing superior heating and cooling services to our clients throughout the Las Vegas Valley. We are truly thankful for the relationships we’ve built and established since that time and continue to consider our clients as our most valuable asset.
